Image Redactor
Detect emails, phone numbers, ID numbers and more — then redact them locally.
How it works
- 1Select an image — it is loaded directly into your browser, never uploaded.
- 2PaddleOCR reads every text line and its bounding box on your device.
- 3Regex detectors flag emails, phone numbers, ID numbers, bank cards and IP addresses.
- 4Flagged spans are blacked out on a canvas, then exported as a PNG.
FAQ
Is the redaction safe? Can the text be recovered?
Redacted areas are painted over on a fresh canvas — the original pixels are never included in the exported PNG, so there is nothing to recover underneath.
Which entity types are detected?
Email addresses, phone numbers, 18-digit Chinese ID numbers, 16–19-digit bank cards, and IPv4 addresses. You can toggle each type on or off.
Can it miss something?
Yes. Detection depends on OCR quality and pattern matching — always review the preview before sharing. You can add manual black-out strokes for anything missed.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. OCR and redaction run entirely inside your browser. Your images never leave your device.
